Taavi Laatsit aka Galaktlan says that the Estonian cultural background - Northern Europe, former USSR - has influenced this release more than anything he has done before (Galaktlan has been composing electronic music solo and in various groups and projects since 1997). Although the record is named after Constance Bonacieux, the fictional character by Alexandre Dumas, the interpretation of the feeling of her age in the soviet movie "D'Artagnan And The Three Musketeers" has had a greater effect on this album than the original novel. The movie and it's sequels were an absolute hit among children all over the USSR.
"Constance" is related to other movies as well. It' contains samples from the 1980s' British serial "Robin of Sherwood" and from the Soviet cartoon "Zolnushka". Before "Constance", Galaktlan's love for cinema has resulted in soundtracks for seven different short movies. Whether the man in a white costume flying on the cover of his new album is also a movie-sample he doesn 't say.

Track "Laanetaguse" was accidently born in Galaktlans jam session with Pastacas (ramo Teder). Right after the first mixdown of the track Galaktlans computer HDD crashed. More than year later they both recovered the track by heart. So on this single there are two versions of the original version: Galaktlans "Laanetaguse" and Pastacas "Laanekas". Barbariz remix is based on Galaktlan's track.
The CD also contains bonus track "Bastas" which only appears on this single.
Galaktlan finds the latter rather expressive but says that the mystic and unexplainably creepy feeling of "beyond the woods" can be best caught by reading Fr. R. Kreutzwald's fairy-tale "Kullaketrajad", watching T. Hooper's motion picture "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" or observing the soviet tractor Kirovetz K-700 work on a lonely field.
