Uni is a band formed by Taavi Laatsit and Hendrik Luuk in 1998. Uni's debyt album "Kosmikud" came out at 1999 on Kohvirecords.
About Uni's music. At times it is robotic and at times organic and natural. Almost 100% of the instruments are electronic. Still - the melodies are Almost always played by ourselves and not programmed in the sequencer 'cause we still want to keep a human touch and inspiration to the whole thing. in general the music is chilled and deep, but not without some disturbing elements - lead sounds reminiscent of 70ies and 80ies synthesizers that were used for scoring science fiction movies, gliks and noises that stem from the 90ies minimalistic electronica. it most probably locates somewhere between radical experimentalism and pop. our music is a meltingpot of different viewpoints and techniques that are used in concert to create a whole that resonates with ourselves and our interactions with the surroundings. Its a mixture of how things are and how you would like them to be.
